Welcome! I'm Jonathan Hollins, Graphic Designer and Web Designer from New York City. I specialize in designing personal websites, and websites for small or large business. All the websites I've designed include custom made graphics for the look and feel of that individual website.

        I've been a Graphic Designer / Web Designer for over six years now, and I can't think of anything else I'd rather do with my time. When I first started learning the aspect of Web Design, I was using the program Macromedia Dreamweaver Studio 8. As time went on, I discovered that using that program to build a web page, the program would insert extra tags that were unnecessary. For the past two years now I�ve been hand-coding a web page(s) or entire website from just using your basic Windows program Notepad. I find that you have more control in building a website from scratch by this method, then using Dreamweaver. Within learning on hand-coding a web page, or an entire website, I�ve gotten quite good at reading HTML, Java Script, and CSS languages. Where as one of the things I like to do is code manipulation. Meaning I�ll take a code that was designed by someone else, and manipulate that code, in changing some of it, to make that

code do something completely different then it was originally intended for.

        The only one type of web design I do not do is FLASH design. Even though flash websites are nice, sometimes they are to large in graphic, where they forget about one thing a web designer is responsible for, that is the time it takes for that website to load on a web browser. Besides that, one other major thing a web designer is also responsible for is, the website being able to load on cross web browsers, where there is no change between them. I feel that you can design a website just as good by using HTML, Java Scripts, and CSS languages in programming a website all on one page, just as how a Flash website is designed, where when you click on link, only the content changes, just as how it would be in a Flash website.

        Besides web design, I also enjoy Graphic Design, creating images for websites, or graphics for print. I�ve designed CD Covers, Fliers, Posters, Logos, and I also enjoy Photo Manipulation. In the past, I never thought about how much fun it would be to design something in photoshop. Before I ever started Graphic Design and Web Design, I was a Fine Artist. I used to paint and draw things by hand all the

time. I started when I was about eight years old and continued to when I was twenty years old. By the time I reached that age, I already had a type of painting and drawing style, which was Surrealism. I guess now you can say a "Layer" in photoshop, has now become my canvas or paper.
